Legal aspects Swisscom RA App (Android)

  1. Users Rights and Responsibilities

    All rights and responsibilities for users of this app are governed by the corresponding agreements between Swisscom and the User.

  3. Export Controls

    This software is subject to the U.S. Export Administration Regulations and other U.S. law, and may not be exported, re-exported, or transferred to certain countries (e.g. OFAC-List) or to persons or entities prohibited from receiving U.S. exports (including those (a) on the Bureau of Industry and Security Denied Parties List or Entity List, (b) on the Office of Foreign Assets Control list of Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons).

  4. Privacy Statement

    The app has two different modes. A demonstration mode for users without any contract with Swisscom and an operational mode with a dedicated Two-Factor Authentication access for users having signed a RA Agency Contract with Swisscom including data privacy provisions.

    During the demonstration mode data is only stored in the device memory and deleted after termination of the app.

    In operational mode information on the authenticating person is gathered in the app during the identification process and is forwarded to Swisscom's Registration Authority (RA) Service. After transmission and storage of the information at Swisscom's RA Service, the corresponding information is deleted from the app, except for parts of the telephone number, which does not include the information belonging to the owner of the telephone number.

    Photos made with the User's camera are not stored in the photo gallery of the terminal device and are deleted after data transmission to the RA Service.

    The contract concluded between the user and Swisscom details all data privacy aspects.
